Do you want to close your meter?
The closing of a meter is free of charge.
But remember that the reopening of the meter will be billed.
1. Contact your energy supplier
First of all, contact your energy supplier and inform them that you want to close your meter.
Your energy supplier will in turn inform Sibelga that the meter must be closed at your request. He will send this message to Sibelga within 48 hours of your call.
2. Call Sibelga for an appointment
Once you have received the message from your energy supplier that your meter can be closed, you can call our customer service department on 02 549 41 00 to make an appointment.
It is best to call Sibelga the day after you have notified your energy supplier! This way, it is more likely that we will have received the closure notice from your energy supplier in the meantime.
Without this message from your energy supplier, we cannot schedule an appointment.
Please allow at least 2 to 3 working days (depending on how busy it is) after your call for us to come and close your meter.
