What do R1 and R3 metering regimes mean?

When remote reading is activated, we automatically send your consumption data withdrawal/injection) to your supplier according to your metering regime .

Sending this data to your supplier does not change your billing.When remote reading is activated, the communication  uses either the R1 or R3 regime. The metering regime used depends on your situation:

Who is it for?

Default setting for the smart meter once remote reading has been activated (except for energy sharing).

Remote reading is active for:

  • Energy producers (prosumers)
  • Customers who gave their reading consent (ie. users of the My Sibelga app)

Regime applied for:

* Whether you are on the R1 or R3 regime, you will always receive monthly advance payments with an annual adjustment. Except if you have opted for monthly billing based on actual consumption or if you have chosen a dynamic pricing plan.
